Eritrea Football Association Vice President Tuccu Guish is demanding a refund of Shs 1.2m ($600) from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

This is money they spent on accommodation and transport when they arrived on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Guish told The Monitor that they arrived at 11.05pm and found no body waiting for them. A Good Samaritan took them to Hotel Savanah, Old Kampala where they spent the night.

Haruna Mawanda, FUFA's secretary general, apologised but pointed out that Eritrea had sent a message that did not indicate time of arrival.

"Our people waited for four hours (5pm-9pm), so we are not partly to blame, but we shall sort out the problem with Eritrea and CECAFA." said FUFA GS Haruna Mawanda.
