By Gedab News - Jan 26, 2003

Last weekend, a mortar exploded in Agordat, Gash-Barka region of Eritrea, wounding one civilian and killing livestock.  Nobody took responsibility for the act and the government media does not report such incidents.  Privately, government officials stated the mortar originated from areas north of Agordat and attributed the act to "traitors," a reference to the Eritrean opposition organizations.
