Dear Friends at Awate,

As fellow Eritreans who work to see the rule of law in Eritrea prevail, democracy flourish and the right of citizens respected, we were appalled and disgusted by the recent scurrilous attack on the person of  Saleh Johar (Gadi) by the regime in Asmara through its agents. As the reason for theses attacks and campaigns of character assassination on individuals are clearly designed to intimidate and silence all voices of dissent, we strongly believe that any such attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.
