Amnesty International fights for prisoners of conscience Print E-mail

The local central-Alameda County Group 612 has 10 to 15 active members and has adopted Petros Solomon as their primary prisoner of conscience. Solomon, a former senior government official in Eritrea, has been held incommunicado without charge or trial since 2001, when he was part of a group that wrote a letter criticizing Eritrea's only political party.
