I have been itching to react against the egos and testosterone-pumped attitudes of some die-hard supporters of the PFDJ for quit sometime now. Unfortunately, with time constraints, things couldnt go as I wished them to be. Nevertheless, I am herby trying to say some on what is actually happening to my people and beloved nation Eritrea.
Through the years, especially after September 2001, the so called leaders but in reality the Mafioso in Eritrea, have sought excuses to wage a rampant war on their own people on the pretext of sovereignty and national duty issues.
As a matter of fact, the PFDJ elites and their thugs have come to destroy all what real Eritreans loved much, namely our unity in diversity, our work ethics, our family value and our faith to the Almighty God and more importantly our hope for better future and self-esteem. Life under the PFDJ rule became hard and unbearable.
Consequently, thousands of youngsters who couldnt bear the suffering at home anymore, started fleeing to foreign countries despite the high risk of being caught or even shot while crossing the borders. Actually, these youngsters were supposed to be the corner stone in a nation building and the future of Eritrea. Unfortunately, they have come to a situation where they couldnt even run their daily activities in peace, as the PFDJ treats them like its own personal property or commodity. Hence, like any commodity, they could be used at any time and place the party wishes, and/or be discarded when the chief staff or a PFDJ secretary wishes to do so. Obviously, no one dares to question or discuss the legality of it in the security confined cities and camps of present Eritrea.
At present time, where slavery became a norm at the PFDJ land, one's existence depends merely on the mood of the military officers. Literally speaking, the hard fought Eritrean independence has been stolen by a bunch of higdefs and their ardent supporters. As a result, young, old men and women Eritreans who are deprived of their rights are crossing the borders every day and night to escape the criminal acts of the PFDJ thugs. The whole nation is under a ″state of siege″.
Now, imagine all those thousands and thousands of youngsters who are roaming aimlessly in Sudan, Ethiopia, Yemen, South Africa, Malta, Uganda, Kenya and Europe or USA. In fact, the majority of them have no education or skills as they were at the military or warsay-yikeako slavery camp for years. What will be then their future? Well, for every Eritrean with a sane mind, the consequence of this grave problem would be obviously a headache. On the contrary, for the follies higdefs and their die-hard supporters, it seems to be nothing as long as the poor Eritrean parents pay 50,000 Nakfa or be imprisoned for their missed kids. The insanity of the PFDJ-thugs and their puppets is a mind-boggling. Obstinacy rules at the PFDJ land.
Suppose, an adult young man of thirty-two who has been enslaved under the national defense force, on the bogus of hallaw-wesen and participant of the warsay-yikealo for years, disappears or crosses the border out of frustration. In a given normal situation, it should be the right of his family to make enquiry the whereabouts of their son, and if necessary, may claim compensation of their missed one. Paradoxically enough, in the banana republic of the higdefs it is the other way round. It is his family which will be responsible for his disappearance.
How is it then possible for a mother or father to control her/his adult son who happened to be under the control of the so called military officers? The immorality of these PFDJ-hoodlums in Asmara is also an absurd. The life of an Eritrean, a productive young man, is estimated at a value of $2500 or 50000Nakfa. For the PFDJ-thugs and their loyal servants, especially those who are residing in western countries, this punishment is regarded as an act of vendetta or a punitive measure against the poor Eritreans. Evidently, like their masters in Asmara, they also seem perversely proud of their evil act.
The Diaspora PFDJ puppets are also known for their judgmental attitude towards the poor enslaved Eritreans back home. While chewing their McDonalds sandwich and gulping their beer, they dont even feel a bit embarrassed to blame the youngsters for crossing the borders. On the other hand, they are working day and night to fetch their own family to the safe heaven of their host country. These die-hard PFDJ supporters often give a deaf ear to the agonizing cry of their people. Instead, they are always in rush organizing wegah tibel leyti only to please their masters in Asmara, while the nation is bleeding at the hand of these anti Eritrean criminals. Today, Eritrea is on the verge of being a unique nation, in the planet, in-terms of all the negative aspects of life and civilization. Major national activities such as education, agriculture, trade and investment etc are non existent or very stagnant. Welcome Albaniasm in the land of higdefs.
Education
The only and sole university of the country doesnt exist anymore and most of those who have studied abroad, especially South Africa and western countries are not willing to return home. Apparently, the curriculum in Eritrean high schools is also either highly politicized or being approached with a military mentality. At one time, we have been told that the old curriculum is a Dergue-spoiled one and thus should be reformed or discarded totally. Accordingly, it has been restructured to a new module and presented in schools as such. Some time later we have been told again, that the new curriculum is also a rubbish one and that the University of Asmara (UoA) is not capable of producing educated nationals. As a corrective action, the PFDJ demanded that the high school students should report to sawa military camp and the UoA shall terminate its activity and be replaced by colleges where college deans are military colonels, captains, or a major. Behold, one day, these thugs will come out and dare to tell us that education is for the "bourgeoisie elites and political subversives" thus it should be banned. What a curse!
Trade and Investment:
I remember when the president (DIA) in an interview once said, that Eritrea is committed to free market economy and privatization, thus everything should be regulated by the market itself. Haddas-Ertra and Eritrean profile, as a propaganda machine of PFDJ, has then propagated this issue extensively. In reality, however, Eritrean market was at the hands of the PFDJ companies where taxation and business ethics are non existent. Many private companies were declared bankrupt and liquidated as such. Others, small traders and family enterprises were either not able to compute or havent got a fair trade atmosphere thus started to transfer their capitals to foreign countries, such as Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and Angola. As a result, the coffer of PFDJ ran out of hard currency.
Being offended by this act, the president come out to another dbut of interview and labeled the Eritrean traders as a greedy and unethical. Eventually, he went to explain further, that the concept of a free market is actually a fiction and doesnt exist anywhere in this planet. He never spent even a single minute to think that he is actually contradicting his former interview. As a usual habit, his propaganda machines and puppets started to sing after his drum right away afterwards.
The case of investment opportunity is also not that much different from the aforementioned PFDJ's theater. The PFDJ-government has imposed an arbitrary and complex set of regulatory requirements that discourage investment from both domestic and foreign sources. Those who come to invest will be required to present a detailed feasibility study at the investment center. This is a normal and correct procedure had it been requested in honest business intention. In reality, however, it will be submitted to the PFDJ thugs for a review and if they found it to be lucrative and profitable, the investor will be ignored and no response will be given to him upon enquiry. Sometime later, he will be informed that his/her project has been found to be unrealistic or harmful to the environment or so thus it could not be implemented at that given location. Spending so much time and energy, the investor has to return back frustrated and empty-handed. Surprisingly, one or two years later, that unfeasible declared project will be seen materialized on that given location and the owner is .Bingo the PFDJ. In fact, the shame story of the PFDJ- bandits is endless to mention here all. The PFDJ monopolizes everything in Eritrea, thus the economy is going from bad to worst, and the poor Eritrean people look tired and dispirited more than ever. May Almighty God have mercy on us.
According to a recent IMF report, Eritrea suffers from large structural fiscal deficits caused by high levels of spending on defense at this moment. Exports have collapsed mainly due to mismanagement and a failed PFDJ economic and political policy. Issue of proper management and transparency is a taboo theme in the land of the higdefs. Could anyone with a sane mind expect then, that a land locked Ethiopia and Uganda are supplying more fish to the market than Eritrea with all its coastal potential of about 70,000MT/annum does? The president (DIA) and his colleagues have once claimed that they have already completed their MBA courses at Nakfa Mountains and cages in the 70's or so, thus there is no any managerial problems on their side. If it is so, who is then to be blamed for all the mess the country is facing now? According to the PFDJ and their die-hard supporters it must be the weyane, the opposition, the UN and EU or the USA that should be blamed for the terrible predicament Eritrea and Eritreans are in now.
Democracy and justice:
Sadly, Eritrea has become a nation with the most imprisoned journalists, ministers, religion leaders, businessmen and women as well as thousands of innocent youngsters. Moreover, Eritrea is the only nation, in the contemporary world, without a constitution. Yes, a nation with out a constitution and rule of a law. As long as the ratified constitution is not implemented it is a nation with out a constitution. The Unresolved border issue with Ethiopia is usually used as pretext for not implementing it. In reality, however, the reason is so obvious: Phobia of Democracy. Point. If it is implemented democratically, firstly, there will be a rule of law, then issues of imprisoned persons will be raised and above all, there will be a national election. These are the core points that PFDJ hates much. Hence, as long as the PFDJ and its ring-leader DIA is in power, the constitution will never be implemented and by proxy the border issue with Ethiopia will never be resolved. Unfortunately, there is no a free media or domestic based platform that Eritreans could at least air their frustrations. The nation is marching backwards.
Even in the 50's Eritrea had more than 10 news papers. At present time, what we have got is a single government propaganda machine in two or three languages. The PFDJ-bigots who are residing in foreign countries may understand the importance of a free press. However, when asked why Eritrea shouldnt have a free press, their ostensible reason will be hizbi keygage or key'eosho (Phobia of Public Awareness).Their sole aim is personal aggrandizement, a typical PFDJ behavior.
Domestic and International affairs
Frankly, I dont even know whether that symbolic Eritrean parliament does really exist or dismantled at this moment. How could then anyone recall the last time it assembled, if there is no any resolution passed or a topic discussed by that unfortunate parliament? As to that usual theater of cabinet of ministers there is nothing to say except repeating the verse of Elsa kidane's song Ata eza Adna entay eyu gudda".
Eritrea's picture at the international arena is also very dark and negative at this moment. Apart from the continuous psychological humiliation that we Eritreans have to endure due to the uncivilized diplomacy and political conducts by the PFDJ and DIA thugs, Eritreas image will remain severely damaged for the long term to come. Nowadays, Eritrea is regarded as an eye sore to the democratized nations. Wey Ane Hagerey!! Internationally, Eritrea's and its peoples image is fading every minute ,mainly, due to the ridicules meddling of DIA in the affairs of other countries, and/or his one man show attitude at the national level. Domestically, the DIA tends to be Mr. Expert in all fields of engineering, agriculture, economics, art, religion, politics, and military.... Ooops. I forgot, he is also a good weather forecaster. Obviously, he is an erudite president in all aspects. Isnt that what the haddas ertra is trying to tell us in all its daily pages? The president gave these and that instruction to contractors, agriculturalist, and medical experts etcalas the country is marching to its unbearable imminent disaster and the misery continues.
Leaving aside, the yet to be confirmed, military involvement in Somalia, was it necessary, even to try meddling in the affairs of the Somalis? DIA and his thugs were busy to persuade us, that the Somalian Jihadist should be supported now, more than ever. The question is, however, if PFDJ's support was meant genuine and also believe that the cause of the Somali's Union of Islamic Court (UIC) is just, why were they then so busy attacking Sudan and the Eritrean Islamist? On the other hand, if their aim was a proxy war with weyanes, why all these fuss in traveling thousands of kilometers. Arent the weyanes still in our land? Now that the war in Somalia is almost over and the UIC has lost its base, PFDJ's Saber -ratting will be diverted to the poor Eritreans at home. The hypocritical show of these ″wanna-be peace champions" is also, somehow, beyond belief.
While the majority of Eritreans are living in a form of ration based supply for the basic necessities, the PFDJ bigots are busy or at least pretending be busy in resolving conflicts and social problems of Sudan, Somalia, Chad, Ethiopia etc and their die hard supporters are proud to utter these facts at western bars and restaurants. My mom would have said " E'way Gu'damat, ata ezi-omsi Ember'do Na'y B'haki Eritrawian Eyo'm"?.
Religion and Family Value Truly speaking, the PFDJ thugs and their die-hard supporters must be the only species in nature to have shed blood of their own kind, imprison innocent young and elderly people, dismantle family, forbid religion just for selfish and disgusting reasons, and finally pretend as if they are triumphant against all odds. Sadly, the unbearable living standard at the present Eritrea is a result of their barbaric mentality towards humanity and civilization as well as their agnostic nature.
According to the PFDJ-thugs, there is only one religion in todays Eritrea. The PFDJ's doctrine is regarded as the ″article of faith″, and its God is DIA along with his die-hard supporters as his prophets and angels.
Have been talking ad nauseam about the current suffering of Eritreans and the hypocrisy of the die hard PFDJ supports, I wish I could have added some more things but I am afraid, that their little brain would explode afterwards.
Et Voil, Eritrea is bleeding and the PFDJ thugs seem to implement the proverb, After Me The Deluge. Aprs moi, le deluge.Madame de Pompadour.
May God/Allah save Eritrea.
