Comitato di coordinamento democratici eritrei in italia (c.c.d.e.i.)PRESS RELEASEThe Eritreans in Milano meet the “Father” of the Eritrean Refugee in MaltaOn Sunday 13th October 2002 a meeting was held with Fr. Dionysious Mintoff, Director of the Peace Laboratory of Hal-Far, Malta.A huge number of Eritreans and several Italian personalities attended the meeting. Fr. Mintoff gave an extensive report on the situation of the Eritreans refugees in Malta. He also gave a moving personal witness to the plight of our compatriots in the island.Fr. Mintoff was, several times, forced to interrupt his speech by a resounding ovations by the participants.During the meeting, Fr. Mintoff, asked the audience three things: prayer, unity among ourselves and defend the truth at any cost.Fr. Mintoff pledged to defend our compatriots by all means possible even by presenting their case before the International Court.As a gesture of gratitude for what Fr. Mintoff did and is still doing for our compatriots, the organizers of the meeting gave a pleasant “rinfresco” in his honour.Finally, Fr.
