The organizational affairs director of the ruling party People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), Mr. Abdella Jaber, is conducting political "seminars" with senior PFDJ cadres.  The seminars focus on foreign policy, globalization, PFDJ's economy as well as "psychological warfare" waged by "internal and external enemies."

 

In the four-day seminars held in Asmara in early May, Mr. Abdella Jaber accused Awate.com of being the principal agent in waging psychological warfare against his government, according to cadres who attended the meeting.    The cadres said that most of the attendants "humored" Mr. Abdella Jaber, who is known for his flamboyant ways. 

 

In 2001 at the cadres seminar held in Embatkala, President Isaias Afwerki spoke at length about Awate.com, a discourse that was followed by directors and ministers.

 

Mr. Abdella Jaber's next seminars are scheduled to be held in Nefasit, Mendefera and Dekemhare.
