One was shot from the top of the spiral of Pascuzzi's building. The other was shot from a close distance (clandestinely). The pictures are of a historical significance because they are the only documents of the incident that happened in Keren in the mid sixties:a picture of the bodies of seven martyrs hanged in the market place. I have vivid memory of the incident but as far as the date is concerned, it needs further research1 |

I have not given my consent. Wars should not be waged in my name. And I would like all Eritreans to say: Not in my name. And that, really, is how change will come. When enough Eritreans stand up and tell the Eritrean regime: not in my name.

Every morning at the complex we stayed, we had to wake up before the roosters cried because on one side of the complex were a church and a mosque. The call to prayer, adzan and the church bells, were our wake up ambience and it made me nostalgic for Eritrea. And a reminder that we have conservative people in Eritrea; we have religious people in Eritrea. |
