After each and every incidence of mysterious death, the regime through its mouthpiece, the Ministry of Information (MoI) claimed:  "etom gheberti ikey ab quxixir aetinayom alona; ab Qereba ghze dma meghlexi Kwehab iyu" [The wrong-doers have been apprehended; an explanation will be provided shortly.”]  But such an explanation is never given. Suicide? Homicide?  Who Cares: it is just cheap Eritrean blood! It is so maddening and so sad!

Gedab News recently reported on the mysterious death of an EPLF veteran, and Jaliya headmaster, Mohammed Dawood Raka. There is nothing new about this, it is part of the history of the EPLF....We come to the conclusion then that most of the people that committed suicide were either liquidated after they talked with someone or killed themselves because they could not bear the consequence of their forbidden knowledge.

Those who are waiting for salvation to come from generals and colonels are living in fantasy world because they are missing one key piece of information: the generals and the colonels are bought and paid for by The Man, Isaias Afwerki.  As Michael Adonay once said, “when the hand stretches, the back bends.”

The only solution for the betrayers, including me, is to recant and go back to our revolutionary fervor and topple the regime by whatever means available. I know this is a herculean task because nobody wants to lose his prized villa, his car, his salary and his position. But instead of changing our color tomorrow it is much better we come to line and do whatever is at our disposal now.
