Objectives:

· To make the Bay Area community aware of the political situation in the horn of Africa in general and the Eritreans, Ethiopians, Somalis and Sudanese in particular, mainly the youth from these countries.

· To show the world community that Eritreans, Ethiopians, Sudanese and Somalis can sit together in one room, hall and discuss their problems even though their respective governments do not do it as required by the rule of law.

· We feel this is one of the ways the older generation passes the torch to the younger generation.

· We believe that it is the role of the intellectual to educate, inspire, inform and influence and make conscious the people of these communities and this forum is one way of doing it.

The Eritrean- Americans (Committee of almost all Eritrean opposition organizations) are trying their best to make the Bay Area community aware of the political situation in the horn of Africa in the hope to help us help ourselves.
