Salamat Aya Isaias, Wasup?

I hope by now you would have received my open letter, which I am making public now. You know I admire the fact that you are a great environmentalist and a paper-recycling fanatic. I remember when those guys that are known as G15/11 or something like that wrote you a letter and you replied to them apparently on a piece of paper that looked like it came straight our of your garbage bin ... lol that was funny man.

And you were very economical with your words too. I think all you wrote was "tgageyu 'lekhum" (You are making a mistake). I like that, straight to the point, no "kholel around the forest", or however the saying goes. That is why I wrote my open letter to you on a toilet paper, I am certain you will appreciate it.

You will also find along with the letter, 5 signed CDs of my latest single album "Justice Now". The one with colour cover is for you, I have included a bonus track (Voices from the Melbourne rally), and the other four are for your favorite generals. And In case brother Wuchu does not have a CD player the cassette copy is for him.

Aya Essu, you know how much I admire you, I try to imitate you in many things that I do. I am sort of a ONE MAN BAND. I did all the arrangements, the vocals (Lead & Backing), mixing, guitars, bass, percussion...even the hand clapping. I use technology to help me, as you know I don't have people that I can force to do the job for me.

Seriously though aya Esayas, Eritrea does not belong to ONE MAN GOVERNMENT, Eritrea is for all Eritreans, almost four million of them. They all love Eritrea the same if not more than you. They all have wonderful dreams and hopes for it. They want to build it together and want to make it a model that the world can learn from, a nation of harmony, love and peace.

Aya Essu, I can not speak for all Eritreans, but I am certain you would agree with me that the Eritrean people in general are very forgiving people, they are not interested in revenge, but all they want is simply to live in peace. They have already shown how compassionate and forgiving they are, I bet if you appear on TV tomorrow and just say "sorry for past mistakes" and begin the process to start a new page, they will forgive you and open up their arms to give you a big hug, after all you are one of them. But, if you continue to take them for granted and make their life miserable, you know how courageous they are, they will not be silent to oppression no mater who the perpetrator might be.

Anyway, in anticipation to your "TV appearance" which will hopefully include the apology, I have made arrangements for my CD to be launched in front of your office sometime next week, so don't be surprised if people are gathered around there, I actually encourage you to join them. It would even make me so happy if you can say a few words about the song. The song will be available for FREE download on the Internet. The aim is to get as many people to hear the SONGS OF RESISTANCE. If you can please make a few copies and distribute to the rest of your office staff.

Wishing you all the best and I hope to hear your apology soon.

A victim of your cruelty,

Ahmed A. Abdelrehim
